State of Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program
Students can Receive up to 100% of Catholic School Tuition and Donors can Receive a 75% Tax Credit
The State of Illinois has created a new way to fund scholarships for children who choose to attend Catholic schools through the Invest in Kids Act. Scholarships offered through this program have the potential to cover up to 100 percent of tuition and eligible charges for next school year based on their family’s household size and income level.
The scholarships will be funded by individual or corporate donors, who will receive a 75 percent tax credit, up to $1 million, for donations made to the Empower Illinois Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) on their 2018 Illinois tax return.   For example, a scholarship donation of $1,000 will provide a $750 tax credit to a corporate or individual Illinois taxpayer. Individual (non-corporate) donors may designate their parish school, or all Joliet diocesan schools, to receive their scholarship donation. Tax credits will be available on a first come, first serve basis beginning January 2, 2018.
The Empower Illinois SGO is operational will accept applications starting January 24, 2018.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 9:30 AM Masses.

Immaculate Conception offers (CLOW)
Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 9:30 AM Masses.

There will not be CLOW on the Sundays of Religious Education.  Children ages 2 & up are invited to join us.

Please sign-in on the sheet in the entrance way upon your arrival at Mass so we have an idea of how many children to expect that day. Prior to the scripture readings, children are called to come forward to join the CLOW group. The children are taken to the Sacristy where they can hear the Sunday scripture readings at their own level. They return to Church and rejoin their families during the offertory in order to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Pflaum Gospel Weeklies will be utilized with the hope that the parents will review the lesson with their child(ren).

We hope you'll consider having your child(ren) join us each week for this wonderful faith formation opportunity!

Saturday Evening Mass - 5:45 PM
(Confessions following the Mass)

Sunday Morning Mass - 9:30 AM

The Office of Religious Education directs the Catholic religious instruction of all public school students. Through weekly classes, and other Family Educational and Fellowship events, the children receive instruction and guidance in their Catholic Faith. Immaculate Conception and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary parishes have united in this program under the direction of Deacon William Dunn.  For a complete description of the program, registration and calendar please click here.

Throughout the year, together, all parish children and their parents attend sacramental preparation meetings, Family Faith Centered gathering and retreats, and celebrate the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation as one parish family.

Devotions in Honor of St. Peregrine, the patron Saint of those who suffer with cancer or any incurable disease or condition, are held on the first Tuesday of each month following the 6:30 PM Mass at Assumption Parish.

It is the responsibility of the parish to bury their dead. Funeral liturgies are ordinarily celebrated at 10:00 AM. The funeral director will contact the rectory regarding arrangements.
